Teaching and Education

I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others develop their tuba playing skills.

I've been playing the tuba for about 15 years now and it's been a big part of my life the whole time. I never went to school for music but playing has always stuck with me. It's something I keep coming back to no matter what else is going on. Right now I play with the Brazos Valley Community Band and I'm always looking for ways to keep growing and playing more.

My main horn is a BBb tuba and that's really where I feel at home musically. It's the core of how I express myself. Lately I've started picking up other brass instruments too. I've been slowly building a small collection and it's been fun exploring different sounds and figuring out what each one brings to the table. I still consider myself a tuba player first and foremost but I really enjoy the variety that comes with branching out a bit.

I've got a few goals in mind like auditioning for an orchestra someday and playing with more groups around the area. I'm also planning to add an F tuba to my setup soon which I think will open up even more ways to play and explore.
